 (DDBCF) presents the 2nd Annual Hope Under The Sea Gala on Saturday March 30th between 7pm-Midnight at Adventure Aquarium.

This is a black-tie (optional) gala that features spectacular views within Adventure Aquarium & of the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania skyline, a cocktail reception, dinner, silent & live auctions, live entertainment and more. Our Hope Under The Sea Gala celebrates the relationship between DDBCF and our patients and their families!

2019 Beacon of Hope Award Recipient: 

“In recognition of an outstanding individual or business instrumental in filling hearts with HOPE and shining a LIGHT in the darkness of cancer.”

The 2nd Annual Hope Under The Sea Gala will recognize the team from Equity Prime NJ with the 2019 Beacon of Hope Award.

From the Equity Team: “Equity and David’s Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation have a unique synergy that’s felt like family for years. We choose to partner so closely with the Foundation for many reasons, three of which stand out the most. For one, the character of the organization is immense. They have the ability to do a lot with a little, a true grassroots cause – we admire their ability to create. Another reason is because we respect the hustle they maintain for our community – they don’t shy away from a challenge or an opportunity, especially when patients are lining up for support. The last reason really comes down to our shared love for our community. Let’s face it. We’ve all been directly or indirectly affected by cancer. The topic is emotionally relevant to our entire team. DDBCF is the platform for Equity Prime Mortgage to make a significant contribution directly to members of our community who are battling this disease. Not only will we continue to donate $25 per closed loan as part of our Mission of Hope commitment, we will also push ourselves, and our brand, to develop innovative ways to positively impact our community alongside DDBCF. Our friend Ross Reynolds from Trident Multisport is the race creator/organizer/director. Ross and his wife Marissa are the backbone for both of our athletic fundraisers with Survival of the Mills and Run for Hope. Dave Finelli was recently welcomed to DDBCF’s Volunteer Advisory Board, and according to both Dave and his wife Laurie Finelli, their faith in God is the cornerstone of everything in their lives. Dave and Laurie have shared that they feel blessed to be able to support organizations such as DDBCF, Parker’s Army, Hope for Liberia, Fighting Children’s Cancer Foundation and Lighthouse Christian Academy.

Bill and Kirsten Jordan were introduced to DDBCF a few years ago at the Island Gala by the Reynolds Family and since that initial meeting have been unwavering in their support for our families battling cancer.

All event profits will benefit David’s Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation. The cancer assistance efforts of DDBCF are unparalleled in the local area and we’re extremely happy to support this noble local cause.

Fun(d) the Dream will feature live music by upcoming local artists Sahara Moon and August and Oak, craft brew by Pinelands Brewing Co and award-winning wine from New Jersey’s Valenzano Winery. Expect a charcuterie appetizer bar, jumbo sea scallops, farm-fresh vegetables, phenomenal desserts by Sweet Melissa and many other delicious eats. The 3rd Annual Frank A. Cosimano Memorial Golf Classic presented by: Bergen Risk Managers to benefit: David’s Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation (DDBCF) with support from:  Hackensack Meridian Health,  Otterstedt Insurance Agency and Jetty took place at the beautiful White Beeches Golf & Country Club on Monday June 4, 2018.

The Cosimano and Caldarella families have a friendship that spans decades. 88 Golfers joined us at White Beeches Golf & Country Club on Monday June 4th to remember and honor Mr. Frank A. Cosimano while “Paying it Forward” in his name. The end result was an incredible $28,309.16 raised for families battling a cancer diagnosis!

A Huge Thank You to DDBCF Board Member, Jason Cosimano, Kim Cosimano and Mrs. Angela Cosimano for serving as Co-Chairs for this event.

Please join David’s Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation and our newest service arm provider Trident Fitness & Performance as they host a Health & Wellness Expo on Saturday June 23rd between 10am and 2pm.

We met owners Carolyn Card and Paul Hafner a couple months ago and we instantly knew we wanted to work together to better the lives of families battling a cancer diagnosis. The idea for a Health & Wellness Expo was created and several of our existing service arm providers wanted to lend a hand as well as some new ones.

Trident’s motto is: “To positively impact every person’s life through motivation, education and leading by example. We will help you get in the best shape of your life by introducing fitness as a lifestyle. Our experienced coaches not only guide you through your workouts, they make it fun and keep you wanting more. You will never view fitness the same way!”

Activities will include:

  1. Fitness Training with experienced Trident Instructors every hour starting at 10am. $20 donation.
  2. DDBCF Service Arm provider, Body in Mind Massage offers complimentary chair massages. $10 donation.
  3. DDBCF Service Arm provider, Justine LaBatch, LMFT will offer complimentary self-esteem boosting interactive art therapy for all ages.
  4. Ann Luyber will offer Henna for adults and children. $10 donation.
  5. Complimentary skin screenings with Dr. Stephen Small from Ocean Plastic Surgery.
  6. DDBCF Service Arm Provider, Taryn Parascand from Living Acupuncture will offer a complimentary 45-minute qi gong class for breast health at 11am.
  7. DDBCF Service Arm provider, Liquid Bliss Yoga will offer a Free Yoga Class. $10 donation.
  8. Trident’s Recovery Station is an area to congregate, get to know new people, relax after your workout and refuel your body in a healthy way!

6th Annual Frank V. Panzone Jr. Memorial Cruisin for a Cure Wrap-Up

Our 6th Annual Frank V. Panzone Jr. Memorial Cruisin for a Cure presented by Barlow Buick GMC Manahawkin with generous support from Panzone’s Pizza to benefit David’s Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation held this past Sunday was another tremendous success. The day is always special regardless of the weather, and this year’s event included a surprise announcement that no rain or clouds would dampen.

Earlier this year, a unanimous “secret” vote by (all but one) DDBCF Board members moved forward the decision to honor long-time DDBCF supporters Kristin Moritz, Joyce Panzone and Jillian Elsasser from Panzone’s Pizza in Surf City and Panzone’s Pizza & Pasta in Beach Haven, NJ with our 2018 Beacon of Hope Award. The decision to honor these 3 amazing women was easy but keeping it a secret from Vice President of DDBCF, Kristin Moritz and DDBCF Advisory Board Member, Jillian Elsasser was the difficult part.

On behalf of the DDBCF Board of Directors; I would like to thank our sponsors, riders, party guests, volunteers, businesses and individuals who donated food and activities for helping to make the 6th Annual Frank V. Panzone Jr. Memorial Cruisin for a Cure presented our most successful Cruisin to date. A special thanks to our host Danielle Pessolano and staff from Joe Pop’s Shore Bar & Restaurant. Thanks to the “Generosity of Spirit,” of so many, we were able to raise more than $48,000 for families battling a cancer diagnosis. It is because of your generous support, that DDBCF has been able to help 1,053 Families with over $825,000.00 in direct patient financial aid (January 2011 – March 31, 2018). THANK YOU!

The 7th Annual Stafford Run for Hope presented by AtlantiCare to benefit David’s Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation will take place on Saturday June 16th. We are excited to welcome our friends and brand-new community partners, AtlantiCare as the Title Sponsor for this event.

This is the 7th year for the Stafford Tri/Du/Aqua event and 4th year that David’s Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation (DDBCF) will be integrally involved in this event in collaboration with our good friend Ross Reynolds from Trident Multisport. Ross established Trident Multisport to bring excellent multisport events to southern New Jersey. Giving back to the community is a major focus of their team as well as promoting healthy lifestyles. Trident’s website has this Hawaiian statement on its’ main page:

“Ahuwale ka po’okela I kau hana ia ha’i.” It is through the way you serve others that your greatness will be felt.”

Our student groups from Southern Regional Middle School and High School will help manage the logistics of the event with support from our youth group Generation Dream. All 3 student-led groups will play a major role in this event by fundraising and raising awareness on their own within the community. Please support these amazing kids whenever possible…

The 3rd Annual Frank A. The Cosimano and Caldarella families both grew up in north jersey but spent every summer and most off-season weekends together on Long Beach Island. The Cosimano’s are family to Co-Founder David Caldarella. As many of you know, Frank A. Cosimano passed away on August 7, 2011 from Pancreatic cancer. Frank loved his wife Angela, daughter Kim son Jason, daughter-in-law Dorothy, his 6 grand kids, friends, animals, golf and most importantly helping others. He was passionate about giving back to individuals and charities. One charity that was very close to Frank and remains close to his family is DDBCF. Please join us as we honor and remember this great man at The 3rd Annual Frank A. Cosimano Memorial Golf Classic on Monday June 4th.

We want to thank Jason Cosimano, Kim Cosimano, Mrs. Angela Cosimano and Dr. Robert Siconolfi for serving as Co-Chairs for this event. Jason is currently serving as a member of our Board of Directors.
