We are excited to bring the Inaugural LBI Summer Soiree “Boardwalk Nights” (formerly Island Gala) to the Sea Shell Resort & Beach Club on Friday August 10, 2018 to benefit David’s Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation(DDBCF).

The LBI Summer Soiree “Boardwalk Nights” is brought to you by our friends, community partners and Title Sponsors at D. Finelli Construction. Dave Finelli was recently welcomed to DDBCF’s Volunteer Advisory Board, and according to both Dave and his wife Laurie Finelli, their faith in God is the cornerstone of everything in their lives. Dave and Laurie have shared that they feel blessed to be able to support organizations such as DDBCF, Parker’s Army, Hope for Liberia, Fighting Children’s Cancer Foundation and Lighthouse Christian Academy.

We also want to warmly welcome and extend our sincere thanks to The Jordan Family for their generous support of the Soiree. Bill and Kirsten Jordan were introduced to DDBCF a few years ago at the Island Gala by the Reynolds Family and since that initial meeting have been unwavering in their support for our families battling cancer.

We return to the Sea Shell Resort & Beach Club for the 6th year of this re-branded event and are so excited that Jaimee Hughes Boyle and Brittany Hughes Solon were also recently welcomed to DDBCF’s Volunteer Advisory Board. The Hughes Family supports DDBCF at multiple events throughout the year and have done so since our first year of existence. We are grateful for their steadfast and generous support!

The LBI Summer Soiree “Boardwalk Nights” is our take on an upscale summer cocktail party at the breathtaking Sea Shell Resort & Beach Club. The event will be held from 7pm – Midnight on August 10th and will feature: live boardwalk games, scrumptious hors d’oeuvres, a robust buffet, creative cocktails with 3-hour top-shelf open bar, spectacular auction and live music with LBI’s Ted Hammock and Jason Booth in our outside Tiki Lounge with Philadelphia’s High-Energy Seven Piece Band LOVE 77 to keep you moving all night long on the ballroom dance floor.

Unfortunately, mother nature has other plans for the 4th Annual Frank V. Panzone Jr. Memorial Cruisin for a Cure presented by Barlow Buick GMC of Manahawkin to benefit David’s Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation. After consulting with local and state police dept.’s, it was recommended that we cancel the ride portion of the event. However, a great party will still take place at Joe Pop’s Shore Bar & Restaurant in Ship Bottom, NJ from 12:00-4:00pm. Please join us for Live Music, Amazing Local Eats, Incredible Auction, Party Crashers Gaming Trailer for the kids and quite a few surprises. We are also asking people to bring non-perishable food items to donate to our local food pantries through our friends at the Hunger Foundation of Southern Ocean.

Please join us on Sunday May 3rd for our 3rd Annual Frank V. Panzone Jr. Memorial Cruisin for a Cure.

This is the fourth year for Cruisin for a Cure but we renamed the event in 2013 to honor Frank V. Panzone Jr. Frank was so giving to his community throughout his life and this was on full display even as he battled stage IV cancer. His spirit, determination and courage in the face of indomitable odds are only a couple of the reasons we are so proud to call this event the Frank V. Panzone Jr Memorial Cruisin for a Cure!

You do not need to ride a bike or own a classic car to enjoy the party at Joe Pop’s Shore Bar in Ship Bottom from 12-4. We will have a hot & cold buffet lunch with food from Panzone’s Pizza, Joe Pops Shore Bar & Restaurant, Shore Fire Grille and The Old Causeway Steak & Oyster House; Live Music featuring Michael Molinaro, Jason Booth and Ted Hammock. Sprinkles the Clown will be there for the kids and our amazing Cruisin Auction! We are excited to have our friends from WRAT Radio 95.9 & 107.9 back again this year at our registration from 9-11am and they will be joining us at Joe Pops this year too. Cruisin Wrap-up!

The Frank Panzone Jr Memorial Cruisin For A Cure was a resounding success on every level. The dark clouds, rain and winds did not dampen the spirits of our Cruisers led by Jillian Panzone riding with her uncle on the back of her dads bike. It also did not dampen the spirits of an estimated 250 people that attended the party at Surf City Hotel. We have to start by thanking our main event sponsor and friends at Panzone’s Pizza. Joyce, Jillian, Kristin, Todd, John, Sam and the entire staff sponsored, volunteered and gave countless hours trying to make this a special day for everybody and we are proud to say we definitely accomplished that together! We want to thank Mark Cioffi and all the staff at the Surf City Hotel for all their efforts involved with the event and party. We have heard nothing but high compliments from our friends and look forward to confirming a date soon for next year’s party back at the Surf City Hotel. Thank you to Ted Hammock and Jason Booth for keeping the party rocking all afternoon. Thank you to our dear friend Sari McGovern Sprinkles the Clown for always keeping the kids busy. A HUGE thank you to all our sponsors, auction donors and the best volunteers in the world! Most importantly thank you to all our supporters that made this event a huge success. We are putting finishing touches on our totals from this event but we are closing in on an incredible 500% increase from last year’s event! Thank You!!!
