My Son Brima was admitted to The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia oncology inpatient unit on March 15, 2016 for the diagnosis and immediate treatment of Stage IV Wilms Tumor in his right kidney; which spread to his lungs and bones in his back.
As a result; Brima’s Oncologists developed a very grueling Medical Treatment Plan including but not limited to: Chemotherapy, Surgery and Radiation. The treatment was done both in- Inpatient and Outpatient. Coupled with the sudden lifestyle changes, complex feelings and emotional battle; my Husband and I were immediately faced with increased economic burden and financial difficulties.
Thank you to David’s Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation who came to our assistance and paid our Mortgage and PSE&G Bill. I have attached two of my Son’s pictures to this message including a family photo taken at CHOP’s Christmas Party.
