My name is Bridgit Romano and I live in Beach Haven West with my husband Dennis, our son James and daughter Bryce. I work for The Van Dyke Group selling real estate.
I was diagnosed with Stage III breast on Christmas Eve 2018. Everything seemed to move at mach speed. I started chemo mid-January, followed by a double mastectomy and 25 rounds of radiation.
I jumped at the chance to give back when David asked me to be a patient advocate. I’ve met some amazing human beings in this organization, ones I am fortunate enough to call my friends. Unless you’ve walked in our shoes, it can be a lonely, scary place. I want to be able to help support others recently diagnosed to find their way. Without this organization, I never would have known about all the support there is right in my own backyard. The cancer journey is not one we want to be on, but having the right people along the way makes this journey all that much easier
