A fundamental philosophy of The Union Market is about human connection and, for us, community falls under this broad umbrella. We want people to feel welcome when they walk through our doors and we want them to know and feel like they have a safe space to relax, work, and connect with others or even themselves. Partnering with David’s Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation was a very easy choice since David, Danielle, the Board of Directors and all the volunteers encompass this same important philosophy. But instead of lining their pockets with the benefits of connection, they give money to those who need it most – families battling the horrific reality of a cancer diagnosis. The entire premise of DDBCF is to make people feel safe in their utmost time of need and that is something we truly believe in and stand behind. We are happy to contribute the monthly proceeds of a specialty house blend hot chocolate, aptly named Dreamy Hot Cocoa, to DDBCF. We are humbled by the tireless energy of David and his team: their work is a striking gesture of human connection and we are proud to play a small role in their efforts of giving back to the community.
