For Vicki, this partnership carries a deeper meaning. As a child, Vicki experienced her dear friend Krystal’s journey as a pediatric cancer patient. She saw firsthand the strength it took for Krystal’s parents to navigate work, travel to treatments, and hold their family together through unimaginable circumstances. She also came to understand how the dream of a larger, safer home became a symbol of stability during an unsteady time. The compassion extended to Krystal’s family left a permanent imprint on her heart.
The Roddy Roof Relief Fund was created from that desire to honor Krystal in a way that felt personal and lasting. Through this Mission of Hope partnership, they are raising the roof, both literally and intentionally, so it becomes one less worry during life’s hardest seasons. Because when a family is facing the unimaginable, keeping a literal roof over their head should be the last concern on their mind.
