When our principal reached out to our staff asking if anyone be interested in starting a David’s Dream & Believe group at our school, I responded without hesitation. Everyone has their own experiences with cancer, no one is a stranger to it! I wanted to work with the children in our community and help them raise awareness and learn to support people affected by cancer.
At the assembly to churn interest, Dani Corso and Sarah Campbell asked an auditorium full of children if they knew anyone affected by cancer and every kid raised their hands. I knew at that moment I had made the right decision to help coordinate this group!
