Danielle Corso was born in New Jersey, and currently resides in Ship Bottom, NJ with her husband Kyle. She holds Bachelor’s Degrees in Education and Business Studies, both earned at Stockton University.
Danielle first met David Caldarella at Jetty nearing the end of her tenure at Stockton, where she learned of his personal mission to help individuals & families affected by cancer, of his own battle with the unforgiving disease, and experienced first hand the responsibilities he held as Co-Founder of David’s Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation. She offered to help, and her involvement with the Foundation began with social media & fundraising efforts for the 1st Annual Frank V. Panzone Memorial Cruisin’ for a Cure in 2013. Within a year, Danielle had accepted an invitation to serve on the Board Of Directors, and steadfastly continued to grow with the organization as Secretary, Communications Director and Vice-President before being offered a full-time position as Executive Director in February 2018. As ED, Danielle is responsible for sponsor/relationship development, event management, financial recording, patient recording, community outreach, social media and a variety of other tasks as defined by DDBCF’s Board of Directors and CoFounder David Caldarella. On January 1, 2019, Danielle will return to the volunteer Board Of Directors as the Vice Chair of Community Affairs. In this role, she will continue to build community for DDBCF through relationship development, event management, outreach & digital marketing.
When asked what the Executive Director role meant to her for a local media release in February 2018, Danielle said:
“The past five years with David’s Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation have been bittersweet, full of triumph & tragedy, uncontrollable laughter & hysterical tears, the brightest light & the darkest hours. Within the fundamental dichotomy of these experiences, there is the promise of hope provided by DDBCF with the support of the Board of Directors, Patient Advocates, Generation Dream, sponsors, donors & the community. This hope is what makes the difference of a lifetime & creates a positive ripple that ‘changes worlds’ outside of our own. I am honored to have served alongside the Dreamers since November 2012, and am humbled by the opportunity to act as Executive Director.”
