Michael John Murphy is a photographer and lifelong friend of CoFounder/CEO David Caldarella. 

“I first met David back in the early 90’s when he was a Ship Bottom Lifeguard.  He was a great lifeguard back then and he still is today through his work with the foundation.”

After graduating Rowan University with a degree in Fine Arts, Michael worked for over 15 years as a photographer in NYC.  In early 2016, Michael lost his father, Aidan Thomas Murphy to cancer. Later that year, Michael married his love Kelly Taylor, a local nurse, and the two made a big move out west to San Diego, California.  Michael began a new career in law enforcement with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department. In early 2018, Michael and Kelly’s first son was born. After a year living in Southern California, Michael and Kelly decided to move back to their roots in New Jersey to raise their son, Aidan Michael Murphy, around family and friends. 

The Murphy’s live in Beach Haven West, New Jersey and Michael is back to being a fulltime photographer.
