Marcella Lippman was born and raised in Connecticut, where she enjoyed snowy New England winters as a child! She moved to NJ to pursue her studies in Speech-Language. Pathology, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Stockton University. She pursued her studies and holds her master’s degree in Speech-Language. Pathology. She was awarded her Certificate of Clinical Competence, the highest distinction in her field. Marcella has experience with adults and children in various settings, including the NICU, early intervention, school system, outpatient rehabilitation, and skilled nursing facilities. 2019 Marcella founded her private practice, Busy Bees Kids Therapy. She began as a single-provider practice in Tuckerton. She grew her practice into a multidisciplinary pediatric practice, providing occupational therapy, feeding therapy, speech/language pathology, and physical therapy to children of all ages. She recently opened a second facility in Manahawkin, where she expanded to include ‘The Play Hive”, a children’s open play and class company. Marcella has personal experience with the needs of children as her brother, who is 11 months younger than she, was born prematurely and with health challenges and spent a year as a newborn infant in the NICU at Yale New Haven Hospital. He received in-home speech, feeding, occupation, and physical therapy upon his release. Additionally, Marcella suffered from stuttering as a child, which she overcame. Some would say pediatric therapy is a calling for Marcella. Marcella is a member of the New Jersey Speech Language and Hearing Association and The American Speech Language and Hearing Association. She has a solid and personal interest in helping families and individuals with a cancer diagnosis, as her brother-in-law died of brain cancer in 2001, and her father lost his father at the age of 7 as the result of a cancer diagnosis. Marcella has long admired and supported David’s Dream and Believe Cancer Foundation. Mr. David Caldarella asked Marcella to join the Advisory Council, which she was humbled and accepted without hesitation. The mission of DDBCF aligns with Marcella’s values and personal goals. She hopes she can support David and the team to help those souls with a cancer diagnosis and their families. Marcella is married to her wonderful husband of 22 years, Mark. They reside in Cedar Run, NJ, and enjoy spending time with their families, working on DIY projects, nature walks, traveling, beach time on LBI all year round, rain or shine!
