I wholeheartedly believe that our relationships and connection to others is the cornerstone of healthy living. During such stressful times, it is our relationships that shine light and love into our lives. As we all understand, cancer does not only affect the one diagnosed but also ripples through the lives of their loved ones, co-workers, and even communities. Cancer can impact every aspect of the family’s life—creating emotional distress, changing roles within the family system, and changes to the routine (to name only a few). As a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, I am focused on supporting the family to live as balanced as they possibly can through such difficult transitions.
Before beginning my private practice in 2018, I had the privilege of working with underserved families in Philadelphia that have experienced a great deal of trauma. I specialize in trauma-informed care and integrate different models into our work depending on the needs of the families I work with. Having the opportunity to provide my services for David’s Dream and Believe Cancer Foundation is truly an honor.
My goal is not only to support families through individual and family sessions, but to also offer different workshops and seminars throughout the year. My hope is to bring individuals within our communities together to connect, create hope, and understand they are not alone. I am the creator of Series of the Self, a 10 part series offered on LBI focused on developing a better sense of self through the discussion of specific topics, meditations, and art. I am dedicated to developing more workshops specifically to support the families and community of David’s Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation.
