My name is Susie Buzby, I live in Little Egg Harbor, NJ, with my husband Brent and three daughters, Kaitlyn, Amelia and Autumn. I grew up in Manahawkin, and attended Southern Regional HS.
In April of 2015, my life changed forever. I was diagnosed with colon cancer while pregnant with Autumn. I had surgery, and chemo all while pregnant. On October 1, 2015, I gave birth to my beautiful, healthy baby girl Autumn. During this time David, and his foundation assisted me emotionally and financially. I am forever grateful for the foundation’s support and friendship. I made a promise to myself, and my family, that when I was healthy, I would make sure to pay back and give forward the support, hope, and assistance that I was fortunate to receive.
In 2016 I became a patient advocate for DDBCF, and created the Shamrocks for Hope event. Today, I am honored and humbled to serve on the DDBCF board of directors.
