Steve grew up in Hudson County, NJ but has resided in Ocean County since 1982. Upon meeting his wife, Michelle, they settled in Manahawkin in 1995 and truly love the shore life. Steve was in the civil engineering field for over 20 years in both Ocean & Monmouth County engineering firms before leaving the corporate world to concentrate on raising their son Domenick.
Steve met David Caldarella by accident after learning there was a classic car event on Long Beach Island. Being a classic car owner, Steve was surprised he was not aware of this event, which he later learned was the inaugural Cruisin’ for a Cure in 2013. He drove over to LBI in the pouring rain and had the opportunity to meet him and Tim. In an instant, he knew he had to be more involved. The rain that day kept a lot of the classic cars away but it brought Steve right to DDBCF. Steve hasn’t missed a Cruisin’ since and offers his assistance in other fundraising events for the Foundation.
Steve is also involved with other community based groups such as Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Ocean County and the Sunrise Optimist Club of Freehold. His son Domenick is also very involved with Generation Dream and has been a member since its inception.
“It’s with great honor and humility I serve on the Board of Trustees of such a fantastic foundation helping those stricken with this terrible disease.”
