David vacationed on Long Beach Island since he was 6 months old and has resided on LBI or Manahawkin for the past 25 years. David graduated from Villanova University. He was diagnosed with Stage IV head and neck cancer on April 20, 2010. He founded David’s Dream and Believe Cancer Foundation on August 8, 2010. He was given a cancer free result on November 11, 2010 from his surgeon Dr. David Cognetti. David personally speaks with each patient/family and believes the Foundation has the responsibility to care for those in the battle and be the voice for those that no longer have a voice. David is excited to be returning to his favorite hobbies of surfing, running and spending time with the loves of his life: his nephew Timothy and nieces Isabella and Sabrina.
