This creative planned giving initiative was forged by our Communications Director Dani Corso through her company Volatile Media Management.The Informed Mortgage Leadership Team, Staff and their clients are responsible for positively affecting the lives of so many families battling cancer. The result has been a record-setting and monumental donation of $42,375.00 to DDBCF over the past two years! These donations are used towards a multitude of items for our families including: mortgage/rent, utilities, transportation costs to and from treatments, medical bills and groceries to keep food on the table!

All of us at David’s Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation appreciate and truly value the year-long efforts of the entire Informed Mortgage team and could not be happier to be partnering with them again in 2017! It’s time to recognize our friends, the Panzone family. The Panzone Family, Panzone’s Pizza in Surf City, NJ and Panzone’s Pizza & Pasta in Beach Haven, NJ have been supporters of David’s Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation since day one. Our first DDBCF fundraiser was a pizza party in December 2010 and the Panzone Family donated all the food. Frank Panzone’s indomitable spirit during his battle with esophageal cancer, commitment to his community and dedication to the families of David’s Dream & Believe are the basis for renaming our Cruisin for a Cure to the Frank V. Panzone Jr. Memorial Cruisin for a Cure in 2013. We’re proud to have Kristin Panzone Moritz currently serving on our Board of Directors, Jillian served on the BOD for two years and continues to play an active role with the Foundation. We are so grateful to have the support of this amazing family behind us every step of the way!

We were informed at the beginning of 2015 about a very exciting new partnership between David’s Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation (DDBCF) and our friends at Informed Mortgage. Our friends at the Sea Shell Resort & Beach Club stepped up their donations to DDBCF through various forms of giving in 2015. It came in the form of event sponsorships, memorial donations and this year’s 19th Annual Sea Shell Resort & Beach Club Striped Bass Derby. The icing on the cake for the families of DDBCF was Mike and Jaimee Boyle’s Holiday Party. They asked their friends to attend the party but requested no gifts and only donations for a particular husband and daughter family of DDBCF that are currently living in a motel after the wife/mother passed away from cancer earlier this year. It’s the “Generosity of Spirit” displayed by the entire Hughes Family and their amazing staff throughout the year that affords DDBCF the opportunity to assist those families like the one above affected by a cancer diagnosis!

We have held our Island Gala at the Sea Shell Resort & Beach for the past 3 years. The partnership between the two organizations grows stronger every day. A special thank you to Tom, Jaimee and Brittany for working so dilligently to ensure our Island Gala is a complete success each and every year. The Reynolds family have been ardent supporters of the Foundation since the early stages of DDBCF. In 2014, we were informed about a local patient battling cancer in Little Egg Harbor that was about to become homeless. The Reynolds family used all of their available resources including manpower, moving trucks and apartment to work with DDBCF to assist this patient.

In 2015, the Reynolds family, business and staff focused their primary attention on our Island Gala event at the Sea Shell Resort & Beach Club in Beach Haven, NJ on Friday August 14th. Our Directors Kim McCabe Manzella and Dani Corso worked together with the entire Reynolds team to make the 3rd Annual Island Gala the most succesful event in DDBCF history nearly doubling the donations from 2014! This was an incredible team effort including the Reynolds family (Peg, Mark, Katie, Tanek, Ashley, Luke, Ashley), Reynolds Staff, Jacquelyn Zeichner, John & Sophia Steber, Kim McCabe Manzella and Dani Corso. We would not be able to offer financial assistance, services and HOPE to almost 500 families without the support of families like the Reynolds, their business and amazing staff!

We want to thank our friends at JETTY who continue to partner with David’s Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation (DDBCF) to better the lives of our patients and their families battling cancer in the community!

Our Co-Founder David Caldarella and Jetty CEO Jeremy DeFilippis forged their relationship on the beaches and in the ocean surfing 22nd Street, Ship Bottom circa 1990. Jeremy and David continue that friendship and partnership today along with the rest of the Jetty team including: CMO Cory Higgins, CCO John Clifford, Partners Paul and Craig Clifford, Mike Eiche, Tony Coon, Bradley Bargiel, Colleen Foster and our very own Dani Corso.

The 3rd Annual Jetty Coquina Jam in 2011 was the first event that Jetty & DDBCF partnered together and the two have not looked back since. Jeremy served 3 years as a member on the DDBCF Board of Directors and David was able to assist the Jetty team during their monumental Hurricane Sandy relief efforts! Jetty recently opened their Flagship Store in Manahawkin at 509 North Main Street! The community is just as excited to have this new retail space, offices and production located right in our backyard!
